The origins of this setting are unclear — any information would be welcomed. The text is from the Orthodix liturgy and is sung at the ‘Great Entrance’ when the gifts of bread and wine are taken to the altar.

Let us who in mystery
symbolise the cherubim,
singing the thrice-holy hymn
to the life giving Trinity.

Lay aside all earthly care
now in this moment.

That we may receive the King of all
by angelic hosts invisibly escorted.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

The setting is for unaccompanied SATB.
